Talent is everywhere. The environment that develops it is rare.
Successful football organisations need more than good players and coaches. They need clear leadership, structures that line up behind a single philosophy, and a culture that holds when results don't. I help clubs, associations and academies build that: the strategy, and the system underneath it.
Most recently, as Head of Coach Education at the Football Association of Singapore, I rebuilt a national framework from the ground up. A full-time coach-education department, revised AFC A, B and C licences, a shift from post-course testing to on-course observation and support, and new coach-developer and community programmes delivered with the AFC and FIFA. At Manchester United I led the elite MANUSS programme, coordinating education, medical, psychology, safeguarding and analysis around the player.
How I work matters as much as what I've built. I start by listening, a structured first hundred days of observation grounded in honest analysis, before aligning short and medium-term plans to a long-term vision.
