Football development through experience, leadership and learning

My career in football has given me a unique perspective on development, performance and leadership. As a professional player, coach, coach educator, football leader and parent, I have experienced the game from multiple viewpoints — and I understand the challenges faced by players, coaches, clubs and organisations at every stage of the journey.

What shapes my approach

I believe sustainable success comes from developing people first. Whether I am working with players, coaches, leaders or organisations, my focus is on creating environments where learning, growth and performance can thrive.

01

People first

Development starts with people. Get that right and performance follows.

02

Learning matters

Continuous improvement is what drives lasting performance.

03

Context is key

Every organisation is unique. The work has to fit the environment it lives in.

04

Long-term thinking

Sustainable success requires patience, clarity and the discipline to stay the course.

Supporting a young player through the elite pathway

A unique perspective

I have also lived the game as a parent.

Supporting my own son through an elite academy and professional pathway has given me a rare, first-hand view of the realities, opportunities and challenges faced by families navigating the modern game — a perspective that shapes how I work with everyone in the system.

Why I do this work

Football has given me opportunities, experiences and relationships that have shaped my life. Through consultancy, coaching and development work, my aim is to help individuals and organisations create environments where others can realise their potential and thrive.
